Gaughran Earns Long Island Environmental Voters Forum Endorsement
(Huntington, NY) Jim Gaughran has received the endorsement of the Long Island Environmental Voters Forum for his bid to serve Long Island families in the State Senate. The Forum (LIEVF) is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots political association established to identify, recruit and actively campaign for the election of pro-environment candidates across Long Island. Jim has a proven track record of fighting for environmental protection and will continue that fight as a State Senator.
“Long Island’s environment must be protected and utilized for sustainable growth. This is not just an economic issue, it is a quality of life issue,” Senate Candidate Jim Gaughran said. “I am proud of my past efforts to protect our communities’ natural resources and environment and am honored to have my commitment recognized by the Long Island Environmental Voters Forum. I will continue to fight for common sense environmental protections and look forward to bringing that message to the State Senate.”
Long Island Environmental Voters Forum Chairman Richard Amper said, “Jim Gaughran has shown a consistent commitment to the environment – especially water quality issues throughout his career – both in and out of public office. If the environment matters to you at all, vote for Jim Gaughran for New York State Senator.”
The Long Island Environmental Voters Forum (LIEVF) feels that Long Island's environment should be made a priority by all our elected officials and fights for candidates who share that value. By focusing on the races where environmental issues are critical, the Forum can be selective and can provide a candidate's campaign with much more than an endorsement.
